Flooding and heavy rain is expected over the course of this weekend through next week. Oakdale Public Works will have sandbags available to Oakdale residents at OFD Station 1 located at 325 E. "G" St. in the parking lot facing Yosemite Ave. adjacent to their annex building. There will be sand, bags and shovels for the public to use. Make sure you have candles, flashlights and backup batteries in the event a power outage was to occur. Have bottled water and non-perishable food items handy. Pet owners, please keep your pets inside and away from the harsh weather. Please use caution while driving and remember to turn your headlights on (it's the law). In the event of an emergency please call 9-1-1 and for non-emergencies call 847-2231. Stay safe!
