WINTER STORM HELENA TO IMPACT CAPE COD SATURDAY FROM 7AM INTO SUNDAY 4AM.
Winter Storm Helena is set to make landfall at approximately 7am Saturday morning (1-7-17) and expected to continue through the entire day, and into the early morning hours of Sunday. (1-8-17) Expect near blizzard conditions. Snow accumulations of 12" to 16". Snow to begin to tapper off Saturday evening.
This storm will be heavy at times with a gusty Northeast wind resulting in snow drifts in areas. Visibility will be reduced, and roads will be treacherous and slick. Wind speeds will be 20 to 30 MPH with gusts up to 40 MPH. Visibility will be approximately 1 quarter mile or less.
