DATE OF RELEASE: January 6, 2017
On Thursday evening, January 5, 2017 at 2253 hours, the West Covina Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from the resident in the 400 block of North Ellen Dr, West Covina regarding four suspects who were found breaking into his home. The victim, who was inside his residence at the time, was able to provide the license plate of the fleeing vehicle containing the four suspects.
West Covina Officers responding to the scene located the suspect vehicle on the IS#10 freeway as it traveled westbound. The vehicle was stopped and the four suspects were then taken into custody without incident. During the investigation, evidence was found that may possibly link the suspects to additional burglaries.
None of the residents were injured.
The suspects are identified as:
Shawn Keith Castilow, 26 of Compton, booked for burglary and parole violation – No Bail
Semaj Amantae James, 19 of Los Angeles, booked for burglary – Bail $50,000.00
Michael Ormahn Davis, 19 of Riverside, booked for burglary – Bail $50,000.00
Male, 16 of Los Angeles – detained at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall
All are due to appear in the West Covina Superior Court on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 8:30 am.
