Snow storm impact - reduce speeds required, 3 crashes
Snow Storm Impact Update - Although it took a while for snow to start, just before 9 AM, steady and even moderate snow is continuing across the area. Just over 2 inches of snow has fallen so far. Regardless of how much actually falls, this will be a very cold snow as temps will be around 20 degrees during the event.
Winds reach 10-20 mph at times with higher gusts, and that could lead to some minor blowing and drifting. That includes in the evening, just after the event.
Traffic – State Highways are passable, but reduced speeds are needed on roadways. Plow crews are working on County and local roadways. Conditions are expected to improve late this evening.
Police – There have been 3 reported crashes since the start of the storm. Roadways have had lighter than normal traffic due to the weekend. Motorists are advised to limit travel this afternoon
