Jasper County-Today at approximately 7:24 a.m. (EST) on I-65 in the median near the 204 mile marker (that is three miles north of the US 24/201 exit), troopers from the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post were called to a single vehicle rollover with injuries.
Trooper Jeremy Piers stated that a maroon 2008 Buick driven by Michelle Clements 44 of Wapakoneta, OH was northbound on I-65 when she ran off the roadway, hit the cable barriers and flipped into the southbound lanes where the vehicle came to rest on its top. Fire and rescue had to extricate her from the vehicle and then transported her to Franciscan Health Rensselaer where she was treated for minor injuries and released. Seatbelt was in use at the time of the crash. The interstate was shut down SB for about one hour for cleanup, investigation of the crash and treatment of the injured person.
Assisting at the scene was Master Trooper Larry Mote Jr, Trooper Corey Dupuy, Farney’s Wrecker Service, Remington Fire Department and Jasper County EMS.
