PRESS RELEASE 
On 01/09/2017 at 4:58pm, Kankakee Police responded to the 500 block of East Hickory Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Officers located Darryl L. Jordan (12/25/1978) lying in the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Jordan was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators believe Jordan was the target of the shooting and the shooting was an isolated incident. Investigators are working on developing information on the suspect.
