Hughes/Stanley County Emergency Management will be hosting Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) training for individuals interested in helping support emergency personnel in Central South Dakota.
The goal is to train individuals that could be called to help emergency responders that have encountered a traumatic situation. The basic course prepares participants to provide crisis interventions, demobilizations and crisis management briefings, defusings, and debriefings.
Training will be held in Pierre on February 1st and 2nd for the Basic class, and February 3rd for the Advanced class, from 8am-4:40pm each day.
Individuals from all areas of emergency response are encouraged to participate.
