Voluntary Evacuation Lifted; Emergency Operations to close at 10 p.m.
With the current storm event winding down, staff will be monitoring the residual impacts including localized flooding and mudslides, and will resume our regular emergency response via 9-1-1. The Emergency Operations Center will close at 10 p.m.
Voluntary evacuation has been lifted for the residents of Garden Ct., Nave Ct., Joan and Lauren Avenues as the water is receding and is expected to recede throughout the night. Accordingly, the evacuation center at Margaret Todd Senior Center is closing at 9:30 p.m.
Please note that Highway 101 is closed at the county line in both directions due to excessive flooding. There is also standing water at Highway 37 at 101 and the CHP is currently evaluating. Please consider alternate routes.
The National Weather Service forecasts a 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54. West southwest wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
