Teton Pass-OPEN; N Hwy 89-CLOSED; County Roads-No Unnecessary Travel; Schools impacted.
January 11, 2017 07:15 am Winter Storm Update:
- Teton Pass Highway 22 just reopened to all traffic.
- N Highway 89 between Moose and Moran remains closed. Follow www.wyoroad.info for information on highway opening.
- Teton County Sheriff's Office is keeping the No Unnecessary Travel advisory in place for County roads due to hazardous winter driving conditions in several areas. We will issue a Nixle Advisory when this is lifted.
- TCSD #1 schools are on a two hour delayed opening to allow additional time for road work/snow removal. Zero hour at JHHS and JHMS are canceled. Alta Elementary, Kelly Elementary and Moran Elementary Schools are canceled due to severe winter weather conditions and GTNP road closures/snow removal work. JHHS and JHMS students who live north and east of Gros Ventre Jct, in Kelly and Alta will have excused absences.
- START Bus is running Teton Valley commuter lines and buses will wait at Teton Pass until it opens. All other routes running normally. (www.startbus.com)
- Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through 5:00am on Thursday January 11 (www.weather.gov/riw).
