Citizen Tip Leads To Drug Arrest
On 1/10/17 after receiving information from a concerned citizen Officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were able to stop a drug transaction.
Officers observed a black Kia Spectra pull into the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn where a black male entered the passenger side for a short period of time. The vehicle then drove to United Supermarket on Old Iowa Park Rd. and pulled up next to a black Honda Civic. A female exited that vehicle and got into the Spectra. Officers then approached the vehicle and had both the driver and passenger exit. At this time Officers observed a clear plastic baggie on the front passenger seat containing a clear crystal substance. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 58 grams. Officers also located a digital scale and smaller empty baggies inside the vehicle.
The driver, 38 year old Christopher Smith and the passenger, 35 year old Rachel Contreras, were both arrested for Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance over 4 grams. Smith was also arrested for a felony warrant for Bond Revocation for Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Both were transported to the Wichita County Jail.
