Adult volunteers are needed on January 24, 2017 for the homeless count within the City of Covina. 
To meet federal requirements for funding of housing and services, the homeless are counted every two years in Los Angeles County. In coordination with the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), local cities will conduct a street count of homeless persons on the night of Tuesday, January 24, 2017, from 7:30 p.m. up to midnight. Counting is usually complete by eleven o’clock.
The City of Covina needs approximately sixty adult volunteers. People can sign up individually or in groups of two or three. For more information, or to sign up by phone, please call the Covina Housing Division at 626-384-5442. Sign-ups can be completed by e-mail to
