Routine Traffic Stop for Speeding Results in One Arrest
Sullivan County—This morning at 11:00, Indiana State Police Trooper Brent Robinson stopped a speeding maroon Ford Escape in the town of Carlisle. During conversations with the driver, indicators of possible criminal activity were detected. A search of the driver resulted in the discovery of a syringe and a search of the vehicle yielded a .38 caliber revolver and a reported stolen license plate in the driver’s compartment.
The driver, 41-year-old Kyle Warnick of Terre Haute, IN., was arrested and preliminarily charged with Possession of a Handgun without a License (level 5 felony); Possession of a Syringe (level 6 felony); Theft (A misdemeanor); and Driving While Suspended-Prior (A misdemeanor).
Taken to Sullivan County Jail.
Assisting Trooper Robinson were ISP Master Troopers Polly Blackburn and Tom Hanks and Recovery Towing.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
