A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain will spread from south to north through northern Michigan tonight into Tuesday morning. All of the precipitation will transition to either rain or freezing rain Tuesday morning. The greatest ice accumulations are likely over interior areas of northern lower – especially across the higher terrain. Slick and hazardous travel is expected tonight into early Tuesday. Much above normal temperatures are expected throughout this week into the upcoming weekend as we enter a January thaw.
