A Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a report of a one car crash that occurred on the curve at Satterlee and Baldwin Roads in Eureka Township at approximately 10:54 on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
The investigation revealed that Elizabeth Vanvels, age 28, from Grand Rapids, was driving her 2015 silver GMC Yukon southbound on Satterlee Road. Vanvels failed to negotiate the curve at Baldwin Road, left the road and struck a tree. Vanvels was taken to United Memorial Hospital by Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services for evaluation.
Icy roads played a factor in the crash.
The Greenville Department of Public Safety also assisted at the scene.
