La Verne Police Officers have begun additional traffic enforcement in the residential neighborhoods of Bowdoin Ave., Amherst St., and Bradford St.  Resident complaints and a recent speed survey have confirmed that a high number of vehicles are traveling at excessive rates of speed on these streets.    
In order to reverse this pattern, the department will be initiating a “zero tolerance” approach and issuing citations to drivers who are exceeding the posted speed limit. 
We are making residents aware of this trend and asking them to obey the speed limit and thereby avoid getting a citation.
