Flood Warning until 05:04PM Thursday

...The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a Flood Warning in cooperation with the California Department of Water Resources for the following rivers in California... Navarro River At Navarro affecting Mendocino County Steady, heavy rain will continue through this evening and diminish into showers later tonight, causing the Navarro River to continue to rise through Thursday morning. SAFETY MESSAGE... Do not drive your car across flooded roadways. It only takes about two feet of water to float most vehicles. For area road conditions... call CALTRANS at 1-800-427-7623. STAY TUNED TO DEVELOPMENTS BY LISTENING TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR YOUR LOCAL TV OR RADIO STATIONS. The next statement will be issued around 10 PM this evening or as warranted by changing conditions. && The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a

* Flood Warning for the Navarro River At Navarro.

* From late tonight to Thursday afternoon...or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 2:15 PM Wednesday, the stage was 7.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.

* FORECAST...The river is forecast to rise above flood stage of 23.0 ft early Thursday morning...then crest near 26.1 ft slightly later in the morning. The river is then forecast to fall below flood stage of 23.0 ft around 11 AM on Thursday.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, flooding of Highway 128 approximately 5 miles from Highway 1 is certain and the road will be closed. Motorists should use alternate routes.

* FLOOD HISTORY...This crest compares to a previous crest of 25.7 feet on March 28, 2012. &&

* AFFECTED AREAS: MENDOCINO
