Reseda: The Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) involved in the fatal shooting that killed a 32-year-old man.
On January 18, 2017, around 10:00 p.m., Valley Traffic Division, uniformed officers responded to a radio call of a, “traffic collision in the area of Gault Street and Crebs Avenue”, in the city of Reseda.
When officers arrived, they discovered an overturned vehicle on Crebs Avenue, south of Gault Street. They also observed the driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old man lying on the ground with a single gunshot wound. Upon further investigation they discovered that the overturned vehicle had been forced off the road, causing it to crash into parked vehicles which caused the vehicle to overturn.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the 32-year-old male dead.
Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and their investigation revealed that the suspect(s) who were driving a black SUV appeared to have rammed the victims’ vehicle from behind. This caused the victims vehicle to crash into parked vehicles and then overturning, trapping the victim in his vehicle. An unidentified suspect exited the dark SUV and shot and killed the victim. The suspect(s) then fled in the dark SUV. A citizen pulled the victim out of his vehicle and called the police.
The next of kin has not yet been notified. This is an ongoing investigation and there are no further details available.
