The Board of Water Supply (BWS) urges motorists and residents of East Honolulu affected by the traffic gridlock -- due to the lane closures of all east-bound lanes of Kalanianaole Hwy. at the east end of H-1 -- to avoid the area if possible and limit any unnecessary travel into and out of that area.
A BWS paving contractor is working as quickly as possible to restore the roadway so that at least one lane can be re-opened.
The BWS sincerely apologizes for inconveniences caused by the main break repair and lane closures. It also thanks area residents and motorists for their patience and understanding.
