• High Risk of significant severe weather this afternoon and evening for almost all of southeast Georgia

– Significant tornado outbreak expected within the High Risk area
– Includes the potential for a few long-track, strong tornadoes
– Any storm will be capable of producing destructive wind gusts, large hail, and tornadoes

• Moderate Risk of significant severe weather this afternoon and evening for all other areas

– Significant severe weather including damaging wind gusts, large hail and tornadoes
– Potential will extend to after sunset which will only make the situation more dangerous

• The main time period will be as early as around 2pm and will continue through as late as midnight

• A High Risk is very rare for our area, ANY TIME OF YEAR, it is exceedingly rare and essentially unheard of for late January

• This is expected to be a dangerous and life threatening situation!
