Aggravated Robbery At Sandwich Shop Leads To Arrest With Multiple Charges
On 01-21-17, at approx 9:00am, WFPD officers were dispatched to the Subway on Seymour Hwy in reference to an aggravated robbery where a male suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. After the robbery, the suspect fled the location on foot and ran west toward an adjacent motel. Officers in the area saw a man matching the suspect description and detained him. The suspect was identified as 34 year old Casey Ironshell. Ironshell was in possession of a realistic looking handgun that turned out to be a BB gun and rolls of coins from the Subway. In addition, officers were able to positively identify Ironshell as the robbery suspect by the Subway surveillance video. Ironshell was arrested for the Aggravated Robbery. During the arrest, Ironshell was very uncooperative and resisted arrest. He even broke the back window of a police vehicle. Once Ironshell arrived at the jail, he was charged with the following crimes:
