Updated Version of Putnamville Post Recognizes Various Staff
 
Putnamville—At a post meeting held today, the Indiana State Police Putnamville District recognized six individuals for longevity and one for accident free driving miles.
 
The six officers recognized for longevity were presented certificates and uniform insignias indicating their years of service, from district commander Lieutenant Dan Jones.
 
Sergeant Chris Wright was recognized for 25-years-of service. Sgt. Wright was a graduate of the ISP 49th Recruit School and is currently the first line supervisor for troopers patrolling Vigo County.
 
Master Trooper Hans Nowak was recognized for 25-years-of service. Master Trooper Nowak was a graduate of the ISP 49th Recruit School and currently serves as a road patrol trooper, primarily assigned to Vigo County.
 
Master Trooper Jason Owen was recognized for 20-years-of service. Master Trooper Owen is a graduate of the ISP 54th Recruit School and currently serves in road patrol, primarily assigned to Vigo County.
 
Master Trooper Polly Blackburn was also recognized for 20-years-of-service. Master Trooper Blackburn is a graduate of the ISP 54th Recruit School currently serves in road patrol, primarily assigned to Sullivan County.
 
Sergeant Joe Rutledge was recognized for 15-years-of-service and is a graduate of the ISP 62nd Recruit School. He currently supervises troopers patrolling Parke and Vermillion counties.
 
Trooper Adam Edwards was recognized for 10-years-of service and upgraded to the rank of Senior Trooper. Senior Trooper Edwards is a graduate of the ISP 66th Recruit School and is currently assigned to the Putnamville District Meth Suppression Team.
 
Master Trooper Don Farris was awarded the department’s first ever, 1,900,000 (one million nine-hundred thousand) safe driving miles certificate and uniform insignia. To obtain this milestone during his career, Master Trooper Farris safely operated his ISP commissions in all climates and conditions without having a preventable crash. He is a 35-year-veteran of the department and a graduate of the ISP 40th Recruit School.
