RE: Recent capture of wanted fugitive Aaron Loffer. Aaron Loffer was taken into custody this afternoon by Angola City Police and Steuben County Sheriff’s deputies in the city of Angola.

Steuben County Sheriff Detectives have conferred with Prosecutor Jeremy Musser on the cases involving Aaron Loffer. As a result, Mr. Loffer was charged with additional counts upon his apprehension this afternoon in Angola with the following:

4 counts theft all level 6 felonies
1 count of theft a level 5 felony

Mr. Loffer is currently housed in the Steuben County Jail pending the active body attachment warrant and a preliminary arraignment of the additional charges. The current warrant in Steuben County has a $5,000.00 bond and the new charges $17,000.00 bond for a total bond $22,000.00. There is also currently an active failure to appear warrant from Allen County Indiana.

The case remains under investigation.
