SEXUAL BATTERY SUSPECT ARRESTED

In October and November 2016, the Corona Police Department received three reports from victims of sexual battery incidents. In October, a female jogger at Santana Park reported having her buttocks grabbed by an adult male who immediately ran to a vehicle and fled the scene. The victim was able to capture a photo of the suspect vehicle. The other two incidents occurred while the victims were walking to their cars in shopping center parking lots. Those victims were also grabbed by a male suspect who ran away immediately after touching them.

As a result of a two-month investigation, a suspect was identified, resulting in an arrest in these cases on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Evan David Dorsey, a 25 year-old resident of the Temescal Valley area of unincorporated Riverside County, was located in the area of Magnolia Avenue and Kellogg Avenue and arrested for investigation of sexual battery. Dorsey was interviewed by detectives and later booked on three counts of sexual battery into the Robert Presley Detention Center in downtown Riverside. Dorsey was later released after posting bail.
