Mobile Drug Dealers Arrested With Stolen Firearm
On Friday, January 28, 2017, at about 8:40 PM officers with the Anderson Police Department were dispatched to the parking lot of Jack in the Box, located at 2010 Arby Wy. in the City of Anderson. A concerned citizen reported observing possible drug activity involving an occupied travel trailer that was being towed by a pickup.
Officers responded to the location and contacted Crissy BRUCE, age 32, of Redding, and Brandon SIDERS, age 27, of Redding, inside the trailer.
A records check revealed BRUCE to be on Post Release Community Supervision (AB 109 Probation) out of Shasta County for a prior possession of a controlled substance for sales case. SIDERS was found to be on court probation out of Shasta County as well. Both subjects were found to have warrantless search terms as a condition of their probation.
A search of the trailer revealed a loaded .22 caliber handgun, methamphetamine and heroin packaged for sales, digital scales, packaging materials, and other items indicative of illegal drug sales.
A records check on the firearm revealed that it had been reported stolen from a residential burglary that occurred in the Igo area of Shasta County in September of 2016.
Both SIDERS and BRUCE were placed under arrest and booked into the Shasta County Jail on charges of illegal possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and heroin for sales, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm, maintaining a place where narcotics are used/kept/or sold, and violations of probation.
