By learning how to measure and monitor your building’s energy and water use, you will be prepared to comply with new California benchmarking regulations, such as Assembly Bill 802. Although specifics are not final, it’s expected that AB 802 will require owners of commercial, mixed-use and multifamily buildings larger than 50,000 square feet to report benchmarking metrics publicly on an annual basis using Portfolio Manager.
We also will introduce the Benchmarking Coach program that provides no-cost, one-on-one technical support to owners and operators of commercial, multifamily and public buildings in San Diego County who want to improve building performance. The program is provided by the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) on behalf of the San Diego Regional Energy Partnership.
