Good Friday morning! The following are the calls for cursive and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for 2/2/17.

-6400 blk Colorado Rd, Smyer: Theft. A deputy responded to the area related to a reported theft. The complainant stated copper wire was removed from several pump jacks on the property. A report was completed and the incident is under investigation.

-300 blk Ellwood, Anton: Civil Matter. A deputy was dispatched to a reported stolen vehicle. After meeting with the complainant, it was determined to be a civil issue at this time. Civil remedies were advised.

-100 blk Hwy 114 Estates Rd: Disturbance. A deputy was dispatched to a residence in reference to a verbal disturbance. The deputy met with both parties and no offenses were reported. Parties were separated at the scene.

-2400 blk Sunrise Ln: Illegal Dumping. A deputy received a report of illegal dumping in the area. The deputy recovered evidence from the scene and a report was completed. The incident is under investigation and a suspect has been identified.

-900 blk S. College, Levelland: Agency Assist. Deputies were dispatched to assist Levelland PD units with a reported fight in the area. Assistance was provided in searching the area for involved parties and information was turned over to the Levelland PD.

-FM 303 at FM 300: Agency Assist. A deputy was dispatched to assist Cochran County SO in transporting an individual to Levelland. The deputy transported one subject to a location in Levelland without incident.

-100 blk S. Slaughter, Sundown: Agency Assist. A deputy assisted a Sundown PD officer on a motor vehicle stop.

Deputies also completed close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in areas in the county, civil process service, and motor vehicle stops.

Jail Population as of 2/3/17 at 0800 hrs: 49, and 35 out-of-county.
