Flood Warning until 01:40AM Wednesday
...The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a Flood Warning in cooperation with the California Department of Water Resources for the following rivers in California... Russian River near Hopland affecting Mendocino County Rainfall amounts of around 2 inches with locally higher amounts occurred last night which has caused rapid and steep rises on the Russian River. The river is forecast to crest near flood stage around noon. The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a

* until late tonight...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:00 AM Tuesday the stage was 17.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* FORECAST...This river is forecast to rise above monitor stage of 18.0 FT late this morning. Then expected to rise above flood stage of 21.0 FT near noon today. Then forecast to crest near 21.0 FT near noon. Then forecast to fall below flood stage of 21.0 FT early this afternoon. Then forecast to fall below monitor stage of 18.0 FT later this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet...Minor flooding of cropland begins along the right bank near Hopland. Highway 175 near the Russian River likely closed due to flooding.
* FLOOD HISTORY...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.1 feet on Jan 5 1965. &&
