Traffic Advisory – Highway 17 Closure 
The California Highway Patrol has implemented a full closure of southbound Highway 17 at Bear Creek. Traffic is being turned around at Bear Creek. There is no through traffic over Highway 17.
This is in addition to the full closure of both northbound and southbound Highway 17 at Vine Hill. There is also a mudslide southbound Highway 17 at Sugarloaf. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes. Highway 129 through Watsonville and Highway 92 through Half Moon Bay are both viable options at this time.
Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department is working closely with Parks and Public Works to mitigate the impact on local streets. Additional resources have been deployed.
