On 02/08/2017 just before 9:00 am, 36 year old Markus Wayne DeGraw of rural Fremont was taken into custody at the Sheriff’s Office on an active arrest warrant charging DeGraw with one count of sexual misconduct with a minor, a level 4 felony and one count of incest, a level 4 felony. The arrest comes after a Sheriff’s Office investigation into information that DeGraw allegedly had sexual contact with a family member over the age of 13 but under the age of 16. Following an interview with Sheriff’s detectives, DeGraw was booked into the Steuben County Jail where he remains held without bond pending an initial court appearance. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Indiana Department of Child Services.
