The following areas near McFarland may experience flooding: // Pond Road south to Sherwood Avenue, between Wildwood Road and Highway 43. // Your Kern County emergency authorities advise that as a result of the levee failure near Highway 43 and Blankenship Avenue, there is a potential for flooding in this area throughout the night. // Your Kern County emergency authorities recommend that all persons in the affected area remain aware of their surroundings and, if at any time feel at risk, proceed to higher ground. As a safety precaution, do not drive or walk across moving water, mud, or other debris flow. // Please make sure your neighbors are alerted.
