Seven APD Officers Recognized for Stolen Vehicle Recoveries

On February 8, 2017, seven officers of the Anderson Police Department were recognized for their efforts in recovering stolen vehicles in the community. The award ceremony was hosted by the California Highway Patrol Northern Division and AAA.

In 2016 the Anderson Police Department recovered eighty-six stolen vehicles, with sixty-one of those vehicles being occupied by suspects.

The seven officers received an award known as the "10851 Pin". The name of the pin comes from California Vehicle Code 10851 which is the crime of vehicle theft. Several of the officers received multiple awards.


The following officers received the award:

Sgt. Casey Day received his 6th, 7th, and 8th pin this year.
Officer Tyler Finch received his 7th pin.
Officer Mike Hallagan received his 6th pin.
Officer Eric Haynes received his 1st and 2nd pin.
Officer Gregg Gunderson received his 1st pin.
Officer Chris Chimenti received his 1st pin.
Officer Scott Bailey received his 1st pin.
