UPDATE 2/13/2017 @ 2:25pm - Teton County Road & Levee reports that flood fight operations on Fall Creek Rd near Taylor Creek have been successful. No Unnecessary Travel and Local Traffic Only advisories for Fall Creek Rd have been lifted. Thank you for your cooperation.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE 2/13/2017 @ 10:38am - Per Teton County Road & Levee, a No Unnecessary Travel / Local Traffic Only advisory has been placed on Fall Creek Rd in Wilson due to roadway flooding in several areas including near Taylor Creek. Contractors and Road & Levee personnel and equipment are on scene conducting flood fight operations. Please give them space and drive slowly near heavy equipment to help us quickly remediate the situation.
Fall Creek Rd is still open to local traffic. The definition of No Unnecessary Travel is:
Only the most urgent of situations should warrant travel in a No Unnecessary Travel advisory. Drivers who attempt such travel should be familiar with local conditions and be very experienced with winter driving.
Please keep in mind that by choosing to travel during hazardous conditions, you may be interfering with maintenance personnel and their efforts to improve highway safety.
We will send a Nixle message once the advisory is lifted.
