The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of a wanted non-compliant registered sex offender. On 02/15/2017 an arrest warrant was issued by the Steuben Superior Court charging 58 year old Steven John Gollnick of rural Fremont with one count of failure to register as a sex or violent offender, a level 6 felony. The warrant comes after a Sheriff’s Office investigation was launched when Gollnick allegedly failed to appear in person at the Sheriff’s Office to complete his quarterly required sex offender registration. During the course of that investigation, it was found that Gollnick appeared to have moved from his last known registered address and Gollnick’s exact whereabouts are unknown. Gollnick is described as a white male standing 6’00” tall and weighs approximately 250 lbs. He has a shaved head and blonde facial hair which could be colored black, and has blue eyes. Anyone with information on Gollnick’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office or Steuben County Crime Stoppers.
