On 2-16-17, at 2:54 AM, officers were sent to a home in the 4300 block of Alicia on what was described as a motor vehicle striking a house and leaving the scene. Responding officers spoke to the resident, a WF 39. She told officers that she knows the suspect through mutual acquaintances, and had seen and talked to the suspect earlier in the evening at a restaurant/bar. After she left the business, the suspect started texting and calling her. He then came to her home and knocked on the front door repeatedly. He told her that if she did not open the door, he would break in. She would not allow him into the home. A few moments later, she heard a loud crash. The suspect drove a silver 2014 Dodge pickup into the wall of the home, doing extensive damage and entering the living room area. He got out of the vehicle and threatened her. He then got back into the truck, backed out, and left the scene. Officers could see debris from the home on the street, showing that the truck had driven through the intersection of 45th and S. Coulter. They went to apartments in the 7500 block of Hillside, where the suspect was believed to reside. They found the truck parked in an open garage at the apartments. It had extensive damage from the incident. Officers went to an upstairs apartment to locate the suspect. While at the door there, they heard noises from the parking lot. They went downstairs to check on their patrol vehicles. They saw the suspect running north across the lot near their patrol units. The officers chased him a short distance before taking him into custody. The suspect, a WM 47, was taken to the Randall County Jail and is awaiting booking on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and a second charge of Evading Arrest/Detention. His name will be released when he is booked. There were two juveniles in the home with the complainant at the time of the assault. At this time, no injuries have been reported.
