On February 14, 2017, the Menlo Park Police Investigations Unit was made aware of a robbery and rape that occurred within a residence of Menlo Park sometime in the early part of December 2016. Detectives contacted the adult, female victim and interviewed her regarding the allegations. Through her statements and further investigation conducted by detectives, they were able to positively identify the suspect.
On today, February 16, 2017, Investigators were able to locate the suspect and interview him at the Menlo Park Police Department. At the conclusion of the interview, the suspect was arrested on the following charges:
• 1 count of 261(a)(2) PC - Rape by force
• 1 count of 288a(c)(2)(a) PC - Forced oral copulation
• 1 count of 261(a)(4) PC - Rape of unconscious victim
• 1 count of 237 PC - False imprisonment w/violence
• 1 count of 211 PC - Robbery
The suspect is identified as Cedric Mark Williams, a 56 year old male who resides in the City of Menlo Park. Williams was booked into San Mateo County Jail without incident. No further information is available for release at this time.
