Road closure North bound Bay Ave at Escalona Drive 
Due to a large tree hanging over the North bound lane at Bay Ave and Escalona Drive, the road will be closed. It is expected that the tree will fall into and across the road in the next several hours. Public works and the Santa Cruz Police Dept have closed the road North bound lane only at this time due to the unexpected potential danger of falling tree. A tree company has deemed it to dark and unsafe to attempt to fall the tree at this time. Please use all other routes in the immediate area for traveling. The south bound lane of Bay Ave is open at this time.
