Good Tuesday morning. The following are activities and calls for service for the Sheriff’s Office for 2/20/17.

-2000 blk Mustang, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies assisted Levelland PD with a felony warrant service. The wanted individual was located at the residence and was placed under arrest. The individual was transported and released to the jail without incident.

-6700 blk Colorado Rd, Smyer: Animal Complaint. Deputies were dispatched to the area in reference to dogs fighting. Remedies were advised to all parties.

-6800 blk E. Hwy 114, Smyer: Animal Complaint. Deputies were dispatched to the area related to loose dogs. Remedies were advised to parties.

-Hwy 62/82 at FM 41, Ropesville: Assist THP. Deputies assisted with a vehicle pursuit troopers were involved in. The pursuit ended in another county and individuals were apprehended.

-Hwy 114 at FM 168, Smyer: Reckless Driver. A deputy was dispatched to the area to attempt to locate a reckless driver on the highway. The vehicle was later located and no signs of erratic driving were observed.

-1000 blk 11th St, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies responded to assist Levelland PD with a reported fight in the area. Deputies covered a perimeter until the call was completed.

-900 blk Hockley, Sundown: Assist Sundown PD. A deputy responded to assist a Sundown PD officer at a residence related to a child custody dispute.

100 blk College Ave, Levelland: Alarm. A deputy was in the area and noticed an alarm was activated at a business in the area. Everything was checked and no offenses were discovered or reported.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in areas of the county, traffic enforcement, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail Population as of 2/21/17 at 0800 hours: 51 in Hockley County, 3 to be processed, and 28 out-of-county.
