Liberty Township Trustee in Henry County Arrested for Theft

Henry County – This morning Indiana State Police Detective Ron Halbert arrested the Henry County Liberty Township Trustee, at her home, on a multiple count felony and misdemeanor warrant for theft and Official Misconduct. The warrant was the result of a several month long investigation by Halbert and the Indiana State Board of Accounts.

As a result of the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office review, a 9 count warrant was issued for Shafer for 2 Counts of Theft, Class “D” Felony; 3 Counts of Theft, Level 6 Felony; One Count of Official Misconduct, Class “D” Felony; 2 Counts of Official Misconduct Level 6 Felony and One Count of Theft, Class “A” Misdemeanor.   Shafer was lodged in the Henry County Jail.
