The latest scam affecting Morgan County is the PC Tech Support Scam. The scammers either call from 1-800-642-2818 or an authentic looking email will arrive in your inbox concerning an issue with your PC that requires immediate attention.
They typically claim they represent Microsoft or other notable software company to gain your confidence to get access to your PC. If you fall prey to them and give them access to your PC, then a myriad of issues begins and "their" costs to fix them is never ending.
