Stay weather aware overnight
There is a MODERATE risk of severe storms for much of central Indiana tonight, with an ENHANCED risk over northeast portions of central Indiana. Tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds are possible. Cloud to ground lightning and brief heavy rain causing localized flooding is also possible with any storm. The severe threat will drop to slight on Wednesday and will be confined to the southeastern counties with a marginal risk south of a Carlisle to Indianapolis to Muncie line through early afternoon. Seasonable air will return to the area Wednesday night, in the wake of a strong cold front. A few snow showers could mix in with lingering rain showers on Wednesday night.
