Splash Pad Expected to Open By Late Spring
Need another reason to visit Swift-Cantrell Park? The city’s biggest and most popular park has begun construction on a splash pad which will offer a new opportunity for fun in the sun when completed and open in June. The pad is a collaborative effort between the city and Cobb County and is funded by the FY 16 SPLOST.
The 3,000 foot facility offers various options for water play but generates little or no standing water. The showers and ground nozzles are controlled by a motion sensor. A non-stick, rubberized surface should help limit injuries and is durable enough for daily use.
