Lake Effect Snow Warning until 9:00 PM Friday

The National Weather Service has issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning in effect until 9:00 PM Friday which will effect Rocky River and surrounding areas.

Intense snow squalls are expected to affect the area until 1:30 AM and are moving to the southeast at 25 mph. Visibility will rapidly drop to less than a quarter mile and up to 2 inches of quick snow accumulation is expected. A total of 6-8 inches is expected.

Use extra caution if you must drive as rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads are likely to lead to accidents. Consider delaying travel until the snow squall passes your location.

Instructions:

Heavy lake effect snow is expected. If you must travel, be prepared for rapid changes in weather, visibility and road conditions.
