Temple Station Detectives continue their investigation into the stabbing of a woman in Temple City 
Temple Sheriff’s Station Detectives are continuing their investigation into the attempt murder of an 18 year old female.
On March 2, 2017, Deputies responded to the 6200 block of Encinita Ave, Temple City regarding a woman screaming. Upon arrival they discovered an 18 year old female suffering from numerous stab wounds. The suspect fled the location on foot, but was quickly identified as Matthew Fay Echauri MH/23 of Arcadia. He was located and detained by Arcadia Police Department Officers at a business establishment. The suspect was transported and booked at Temple Sheriff’s Station for attempt murder. He is being held in lieu of a 2 million dollar bail. He is scheduled to appear in Alhambra Superior Court on Monday March 6, 2017.
The victim is listed in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
