Fire Weather Watch until 06:00PM Tuesday

...Critical Fire Weather Conditions Ahead... A cold front will push through northwest Missouri Monday evening and will bring a dry air mass into the forecast area behind the boundary. This will decrease dewpoint values into the upper teens to lower 20s. Combined with gusty winds, up to 40 mph by Tuesday afternoon, critical fire weather conditions will remain in place until Tuesday evening. ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON FOR GUSTY WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 003, 005, 006, 007, 008, 015, 016, 017, 024, 025, 032, 033, 040, AND 046... The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday afternoon.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 003, 005, 006, 007, 008, 015, 016, 017, 024, 025, 032, 033, 040, and 046.

* WIND...Sustained westerly winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected, with occasional gusts as high as 40 mph.

* HUMIDITY...Relative humidity is expected to drop as low as 15 percent on Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ADAIR ... CHARITON ... COOPER ... GRUNDY ... HARRISON ... HOWARD ... LINN ... MACON ... MERCER ... PUTNAM ... RANDOLPH ... SCHUYLER ... SULLIVAN ... WORTH
