Following the heavy snow over the weekend (which doesn't seem to want to stop...) Sierra Avalanche Center is once again assessing avalanche danger as "considerable" at all elevations and on all aspects. If you live in or travel through the potential avalanche hazard areas (PAHA's) within Squaw Valley, please use extra caution and spend as little time as possible in exposed locations.

Bearing out the warning, a natural avalanche occurred this morning on Alpine Meadows Road, hitting a car and at least one home. No injuries were reported.
