Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for 3/3/17 through 3/6/17. 
Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Friday, 3/3/17, through Monday, 3/6/17.
3/3/17
-800 blk Alamo Rd, Levelland: Wanted Subject. Deputies responded to the area after a call was received about a person with an active warrant was observed. Deputies searched the area and the individual was not located.
-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Warrant Service. A deputy responded to the jail to serve warrants on an individual that turned himself in.
-6500 blk Elk Rd, Smyer: Disturbance. A deputy responded to a reported disturbance at a residence. It was determined to be verbal in nature and no offenses were reported.
-100 blk Mandy Circle, Opdyke: Unwanted Subject. Deputies were dispatched to meet with a complainant about an unwanted individual on the property. The individual was contacted and left the area without incident. No offenses were reported.
3/4/17
-1800 blk Kelly Rd, Levelland: Deadly Conduct. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a dog being shot by a neighbor near a residence. An offense report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
-6300 blk Beaver Rd: Medical Assist. A deputy responded to assist EMS with a possible overdose. EMS was treating the subject when the deputy arrived and was later released to his spouse.
-6000 blk Delaware Rd, Levelland: Burglary Vehicle. Deputies responded to a residence when homeowners observed an individual entering a vehicle. Deputies located the individual and he was arrested for Burglary of a Vehicle and transported to the jail without incident.
-Hwy 84 at FM 168, Anton: Reckless Driver. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate a reckless driver on Hwy 84 near Anton. The area was searched and the vehicle was not located.
-Tarver at Ellwood, Anton: Loud Music. A deputy responded to meet with residents related to a loud music complaint. The individuals were contacted ant the music was turned down.
3/5/17
-5700 blk Ohio Rd: Alarm. Deputies responded to a residential alarm in the area. It was determined to be a false alarm.
-500 blk FM 1294, Levelland: Warrant Service. Deputies received information about an individual with an active warrant at a residence. The individual was contacted and was taken into custody after a short pursuit. The individual was arrested on the felony warrant, and charged with Evading Arrest/Detention.
3/6/17
-100 blk Veretto Rd, Levelland: Theft. A deputy responded to meet with a complainant about a possible theft. Information was collected for a report.
-Hwy 385 at FM 41: Disabled Vehicle. A deputy observed a vehicle on the side of the roadway. The driver indicated there was a tire issue, and they got the tire repaired.
-400 blk Sherman: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies assisted Levelland PD with a vehicle crash in the area.
-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Civil Issue. A deputy spoke with a complainant about car title problems. The complainant was advised of civil remedies for the issue.
-500 blk Avenue D, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy assisted PD units with a disturbance at a residence in the area.
-6800 blk Arkansas Rd, Smyer: Assist Lubbock PD. A deputy contacted individuals related to a domestic disturbance that occurred in Lubbock. Information was collected and forwarded to Lubbock PD. No offense occurred in Hockley County.
Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, civil process service, investigative follow-up activities, and patrols in all areas of the county.
Jail population as of 3/7/17 at 0800 hours: 49 in Hockley County, 18 out-of-county.
