The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Fire Weather
Watch, which is in effect from Wednesday morning through
Wednesday evening.
* WIND...Northwest to west winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 25,
becoming southwest Wednesday at 20 to 25 mph with gusts to 35.
* HUMIDITY...7 to 18 percent.
* TEMPERATURE...Mid 60s today, mid 70s Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Existing fires and any additional fires may become
difficult to contain. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
