The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 6 PM CST this evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 022, 023, 024, 025, 031, 032, 033, 039, 040, and 046.
* WIND...Sustained southwesterly winds of 15 to 20 mph are expected, with occasional gusts to 30 mph.
* HUMIDITY...Relative humidity is expected to drop as low as 20 percent this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not advised.
