Good Wednesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for 3/7/2017.

-100 blk Industrial Rd, Levelland: Alarm. Deputies responded to an alarm and were advised that it was a false alarm.

-2700 blk East Hwy 114: Reckless Driving. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate a reckless driver on Hwy 114. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.

-1600 blk Avenue X, Levelland: Burglary Vehicle. A deputy responded to a reported vehicle burglary at a residence in the area. Information was collected, as well as evidence from the scene. A report is pending and the investigation is ongoing.

-6900 blk Elephant Rd, Smyer: Medical Assist. A deputy responded to a residence in the area related to a medical call. EMS responded and the patient refused medical assistance.

-College Avenue at Hwy 114, Levelland: Warrant Service. A deputy contacted an individual known to have an active felony warrant. Jamie Lee Green was taken into custody without incident and transported to the jail to be booked on the warrant for Unauthorized Absence from Correctional Facility.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches in areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population as of 3/8/17 at 0800 hours: 47 in Hockley County, 6 to be processed, and 18 out-of-county.
