Very windy conditions are expected again today with colder temperatures. Winds will diminish tonight.
• Winds will become westerly by mid to late morning and increase, with gusts of 35 to 50 mph common through much of the day. Winds will begin to diminish by late afternoon and heading into the evening.
• Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph through the day with locally higher gusts possible, particularly near the Lake Michigan shore and through the Straits.
• Damage to trees and isolated power outages are expected.
